Aquarius Sun, Virgo Moon

There’s nothing like progress that you can actually measure.

This Sun/Moon combination is asking you to make this a priority.  Your overarching intention is to challenge what’s generally accepted, but it’s essential to have precise strategies and formulas for doing that. Mind you, this is for you to figure out YOUR way and this doesn’t have to be a situation of slavish imitation or riding off of the coattails of others.

For you, critical thinking, the need for improvement of self and systems and observational analysis can be employed to support the aims of the change agent.  You’re being challenged to link the mental and emotional, as both serve a function as allies when integrated.

In using this blend optimally, one must exercise the patience that’s required to examine the component parts of a system, situation or person without jumping to hasty conclusions. It must be remembered that change just for the sake of it can also be REGRESSIVE. Just because your insights are considered “radical” doesn’t automatically qualify them as being helpful unless carefully and correctly applied.

Aries Sun, Taurus Moon

The fuel of fiery self-assertion is reflected in a personality which has an emotional need for stability and to conserve one’s resources, as to be prepared for and equal to the challenges that identity development brings.

Element wise, we have a combination of fire and earth. Concerning modalities, the initiating cardinal and sustaining fixed energies permeate this blend.  It’s said that when we travel the zodiac, the sign that follows has the “answer” to the preceding sign.

In the case of Aries and Taurus, this provides the endurance to finish what one starts.

Aries specializes in beginnings, spearheading and enterprising, while Taurus provides a structure and creates value out of what was initiated.

With this blend, one must seek out opportunities to test one’s courage and intestinal fortitude. In most cases, this consists of taking  a variety of risks.  Simultaneously, the developmental tools to curb impulsiveness and provide the necessary calculations are firmly in place.

It’s important to note that fear can be healthy in some instances as long as one’s capacity for action doesn’t become immobilized allowing paralysis or unhealthy inertia, based on complacency to prevail.

Your life purpose is enveloped in themes of utilizing refinement and intelligence to propagate and advance humanitarian ideals, which are also revolutionary in nature. Also, galvanizing groups of people to assist you in your cause(s).

The fuel which maintains your vitality is comprised of the questioning of socially implanted “authorities” in order to more fully claim your personal one. You also have an emotional need to form relationships where you can take others on that journey with you. This needs to be done strategically.

It would benefit you to think about the use of subtlety when it comes to introducing your originality to others.  Referencing Robert Greene’s law 38 in his book “The 48 Laws of Power”

“Think as you like , but behave like others”.

Greene goes on to state:

“It is far safer to blend in and nurture the common touch. Share your originality only with tolerant friends and those who are sure to appreciate your uniqueness.”

What you can learn by exploring this idea is the difference between the manner in which something is presented and the ultimate outcome it may have.

With this blend, you’re encouraged to employ futurism in your thinking. It’s important to never underestimate the power of getting your “foot in the door”. This is far more important than feeling you have to make a radical display of doing so.  Your impact can be more deeply felt on the back-end and the results you generate can then speak volumes.

Venus in Virgo, Mars in Gemini

Contained in this Venus/Mars combination is the potential for swift and clever mental dexterity which is illustrated by the mutable energy of Virgo and Gemini. Elementally, the practicality and common sense of earth and the curiosity and experimental bent of air are attempting to adjust to one another in a developmentally tense relationship.

In synthesis, there’s a marked efficiency in relationships which tends toward compartmentalization. One knows exactly the specific purpose that people serve in their lives. In fact, one may maintain friendships where all of the people involved rarely intersect.  For you, discrimination is simply the need to be selective in your socialization with others, always keeping the motivations of bettering one’s life and standing in mind.

Your intellect is your “sword” which cuts both ways. Its “incisions” can add important details which are vital to the success of others. Adding the enjoyment of service, you become a trusted support system that’s the epitome of reliability.

On the flip side, the same skill can be directed toward “analyzing” with the intent of criticism aimed at undermining the self-esteem and confidence of others. One may seriously want to take note of the concept of  projection here, as to remind yourself that it’s quite alright to treat yourself fairly in the midst of being a flawed human being.

There can be an over-analysis of one’s emotions which can repress or inhibit the heart function.  Irrespective of the feeling, the practice of giving oneself permission to stop and experience emotions for exactly what they are is invaluable.

Erotic urges typically begin in a cerebral fashion through stimulating debate and conversation and it’s important to know that mere physicality won’t sustain your sense of sexual excitement for long.

Life’s Mission: To create and sustain a solid sense of self through the utilization of a sacred space designed to process one’s feelings. Becoming a “rock” for oneself and serving as a “container” of physical and emotional well-being for others.

In order to use this astrological signature for constructive personal development, one must strongly consider exploring themes tied to emotional, physical and material security. Two of the ever-present questions that serve as a litmus test will be: “Can I trust it?” And “Does it feel safe?”

The fundamental lens through which you process experiences is founded on a goal of the constant deepening of your connection to life and others through relationships, while simultaneously creating and maintaining  a private inner space to ground and process the full gamut of emotions ranging from ecstatic elation to damning disappointment.

Not only does witnessing the unfolding of beauty, in the myriad of its forms and meanings feed your soul, it also serves as the type of fuel that you need to sustain your life’s work and vitality.  It’s important to consistently ask yourself: “Am I OK?”  As, being rooted in the NOW with your thoughts and feelings spurs optimal functioning.

Typically, you exude the type of presence which indicates an acute awareness of the feelings of other people as well as an innate receptiveness.  This is often misconstrued as an unabashed openness and you may be approached as such.  In cases like these, creating the proper boundaries and “owning” of energies between two people can’t be stressed enough.

Considering your elemental mix of earth and water and your temperamental synthesis of melancholic and phlegmatic, one of your reigning strengths lies in being both a “rock” and a vessel for others. Included in this box of resources is a generous offering of empathy, an unconditional listening response and the gift of vivid articulation of the language of the heart.  Because you’re able to excavate things from the often times crusty layers of the unconscious, it’s wise to staunchly protect your energy field. While others may be encouraged to lean on you, how heavily is a decision which has clear ramifications for you when it comes to your emotional health.

It also needs to be mentioned that when disordered, your private world carries the capability of being one not only of sheer serenity and pleasure, but also self-pity. One of the lessons you’re here to learn is that of identifying the differences between acknowledging, experiencing and DWELLING in your feelings. Even as a container, you require periodic release.

While it’s imperative for you to understand the “ebbs and flows of the tides”, how to  actively and consciously steer your ship from nostalgia to the now will prove to be a crucial part of navigating your psyche.

It can be easy for you to become stuck in the rut that says you must “keep it all together” for the sake of everyone else, but this is erroneous thinking.  Another growth catalyst is the recognition that living with the peace to which you aspire doesn’t equate with a disturbance free life. In fact, the very same forces that you deem as disruptive hold clues to something that needs to be corrected or adjusted in your life.

Metaphorically, if the “thud” of the burglar in our house in the middle of the night wasn’t heard or detected, there would be no sounding of the alarm, or the sense that someone wasn’t welcome. Thus, there would be no impetus to taking further action which could possibly save our lives.

You’re at your best when you confront your own disturbances and serve as a conduit to show others how to do the same. Projecting warmth and humanity, yet making the distinction as to where you end and where other people begin.

Sagittarian Mind Consulting: The Mission Statement

SMC Different Color BGR Letters Black Background

For those who may not be familiar with me or my blog, I’ve been a practicing counseling astrologer for more than eight years.

One of the questions which proves to be ever pervasive in my mind concerns what will become of Astrology in the world’s ever-changing state.

I often think about the future of what I consider to be one of the most comprehensive systems of psychological and spiritual development our world has ever seen.

As a professional Astrologer, my mission consists of employing my ability to translate ancient concepts, symbols and forms into a practical everyday language which is totally accessible to the layperson.

In my mind, there’s no reason to engage in esoteric masturbation when clients want to be helped right here on earth.

My mission also consists of assisting others on their quest for self-discovery and a more holistic understanding of their inner dynamics.

I aspire to be the best guide possible when exploring the parts of the individual psyche which require integration and synthesis for the development of the total person. I am not only an Astrologer, but I’m also an educator, writer, consultant and a coach of human potential.

It’s important to me that I open doors for others to locate the place within themselves which helps them to obtain a more multi-leveled and expansive view of themselves.

To grasp a larger sense of their ultimate life purpose and realize how their route of fulfillment is intimately interconnected to the cosmos is my ultimate aim.

Not only do I want others to realize their life has a special meaning, but I also wish to distribute the message that our lives are ultimately about the meaning which WE assign to it.

Astrology is about how we may work in tune with the cosmos to blend our separate fragments into a whole. How we join forces with the all to form a powerful and unified entity.

My mission consists of getting the word out that Astrology is only as limiting as we allow it to be. The signs, planets, houses and aspects don’t “make” us anything. It’s our responsibility to infuse purpose into every set of instructions contained within our birth maps.

We’re not stuck in a proverbial box, or symbolically held hostage by a zodiac sign telling us we have no behavioral options outside of the astrological cookbook variety.

In actuality, the entire universe containing ALL of the signs and planets is INSIDE of us ready and willing to be used as resources for our growth and development. THIS is the type of Astrology that I am elated to practice, and I dedicate myself to the propagation of this philosophy. I accept my calling from the universe of uplifting my fellow human beings with the utmost joy and enthusiasm.

Phrenology

Here, we have a combination geared toward the life of the mind and the propagation of ideas. Elementally, with earth and air, there’s a researcher present which seeks practical findings and results.  The mutability of this combination suggests a penchant for adjusting oneself to changing circumstances and possibly thriving while doing so.

The potential for strength of intellect is clear.  There’s a need to pursue certain lines of thought just for the sake of satiating curiosity, while one is ultimately illuminated through analysis and that which one can measure. This has the makings of a fruitful combination if the lines of scientific thought blend well with a youthful and experimental openness.

One’s life’s work is the pulling apart of components in order to hold them to the light. This critical scrutiny is designed to assess ways in which a person, idea or system can function in a healthier, more streamlined manner.

With this blend, one’s core needs are centered around learning that comes with variety. There’s a feeling of being “at home” with dualities and competing perspectives.  Playing the role of detached observer comes naturally, but it can also bring challenges in situations where a more personal touch is needed.

In synthesis, these solar and lunar components can produce the expert linguist, where speech is refined and exact; an uncanny ability to describe, with pure precision, what one sees and experiences. It can be said that “learning is your craft”, as categorization  and classification nourish the deepest part of yourself.

It’s important to make room for a broad, overarching framework in which to place your findings. Otherwise, you could easily suffer from having ingested too much with no way to use it. Also, a gentle reminder that there’s a difference between data and people always helps, as it’s important to curb the tendency of the “white coat, lab rat” syndrome where your prize is an illusory “objectivity” , which can cost you what would otherwise be significant relationships in your life.

To be precisely who and what you are without fear, doubt or trepidation is a major part of your life’s work. As we examine your Sun/Moon blend, we realize that you require those experiences which activate your courage and self-assertion. Deep down inside there’s a feeling of wanting to be “on top”. In fact, the adrenaline rush that comes with testing yourself is a form of nutrition.  Warrior-hood is embedded in your emotional framework, and it’s important to generate that part of you without thinking that the “product” has to be finished even before it starts.

With a Virgo Sun and Aries Moon, the work of personal improvement is done through resolute action and exposing oneself to challenge. When you engage life “head to head”, you actually have the opportunity to refine your mission and sharpen your steel.  In your maladaptive form, the thought of initiating something brings on anxiety and you leave yourself vulnerable to being “other” directed.

Taurus Sun, Aquarius Moon

Your Sun/Moon combination calls for the expression of your uniqueness in a solid and tangible way. In other words, you must be about what you say you’re about.

In this combination, we see a fixed sense of purpose.  The work of personal stability is achieved through accepting one’s inner rebel with open arms.

Humanitarian pursuits emerge as an effective outlet for this massive center of energy. Being that these signs have a relationship which contains developmental tension, there’s a natural friction between the need to “roll the dice” and the tendency to hedge your bets.

Your emotional needs are of the revolutionary sort, as it’s important that you’re continuously seeking to liberate yourself from societal boxes which  you were never equipped to fit into. It’s essential that you find productive outlets for your aggression, which can build up and contribute to hair-trigger arguments with others, and more importantly- YOURSELF.

Your sense of peace is found through unflinchingly questioning the concepts that surround conformity and asking and answering the tough questions about your involvement  and how to structure your earthly existence so it TRULY belongs to you.

In this combination, there’s potential for the change agent within to produce REAL and tangible results. Your aspirations for reform have a practical bent and this aligns beautifully with your cosmic signature.

Within this earth laden combination, the work of creating value in one’s life is done through precision, analysis and paying attention to not only one’s external landscape, but also the emotional body. To keep serenity and peace flowing through one’s life, honest and elaborate self-checks are required.

Societally, this combination suggests one who has potential to find the perfect moments to make an impact which adds to a more streamlined and healthy functioning to whatever they touch.

In your chart, there’s a pronounced need for critical thought. You’ll find that the more you delve into it, the more solid that you’ll feel. Making the choice to address your inner critic in a forthright, no-nonsense manner is an important step which you need to take for your optimal functioning. There’s a common sense wisdom contained in this combination, which is inclined to keep life natural and pure, filtering out extraneous additives and preservatives.

Patience is well honed in your combination, as is the ability to dot all of ones I’s and cross all of one’s T’s  in the name of iron-clad material security. You will need to find a way to examine your feelings about venturing into new territory when it comes to your growth.

In its maladaptive form,  this sun/moon combination suggests both rigidity and a compulsion surrounding it. A possible lesson to be learned is that change and shift are part of the world we live in, and that comfort shouldn’t necessarily be viewed as a barometer of one’s progress.
