“Man this here like rollin’ dice, man this here like rollin’ dice, Seven eleven, seven eleven, seven twice, man seven twice” – Beyoncé
In Astrology, the 5th house is the domain which we wish to fully experience ourselves and revel in the pleasures of life. Because this is the case, there is automatically an element of risk and speculation involved. After all, there’s an adrenaline rush when we engage in games of chance.
With the Sun’s rulership present, there’s a natural urge to actualize ourselves and this is intensified even more when the Sun is present here as an occupant. Furthermore, it feels “comfortable” because it’s right at home.
So, what do we do when we’re at home?
We let our hair down and present as much as our natural selves as possible.
Your 5th house Sun placement is about consciously choosing to engage in things which bring you life, joy and vitality. When your life isn’t an authentic reflection of who you are this can lead to emotional, physical and psychological difficulties because your outlet for creative self-expression is somehow blocked.
It does anyone well who has this placement to consider what artistic endeavors they may be drawn to, both in the professional sense and as a hobbyist, so they may make an effort to incorporate elements of those areas of passion into their life.
All types of entertainment and places associated with it fall under the 5th house domain: sporting events, resorts, gymnasiums, horse-racing or betting on sport, lotteries and all forms of gambling and speculation which is performed for amusement or with the intention of trusting to luck.
With a 5th house Sun, you have a wonderful canvas to work with because the calling from the cosmos is that you continually expand your definition of creativity and become more and more of what you are. There’s no doubt that your celestial instructions are pushing you toward being fully engaged and alive.
If you maintain a healthy attitude about spontaneity and experimentation you can REALLY have some fun.
One’s sexual expression is also associated with the 5th house, and this isn’t limited to the ACT of sex itself. I’ll propose that the same components which we assign to what “great sex” is all about, need to find a “voice” in our own way of being and be heard in whatever ways we can summon. The key is that we must give this facet of ourselves room to breathe in a constructive manner.
For anyone who has their Sun located in the 5th house, your theme music is : “7/11” by Beyoncé . You can listen here:
